Our Mission
Adopt My Heart is a 501c3 non-profit organization focused on sponsoring heartworm treatments and other special medical care of pets adopted from Collin County Animal Services in McKinney, Texas.
Since our founding in 2016 we have sponsored the heartworm treatment of every heartworm positive dog at Collin County Animal Services. Heartworms can cost an owner over $2,000 to treat, so our sponsorship makes heartworm positive dogs more adoptable. We also help cover treatment costs for other medical issues of shelter dogs and cats at Collin County Animal Services when possible.

How sponsorship works
How sponsorship works
Adopt My Heart sponsors heartworm positive dogs at Collin County Animal Services as funds allow. We partner with local veterinarians that provide a discount on their services to us. When a heartworm positive dog is adopted, the adopter selects from our partner vets and works directly with the vet clinic to arrange their treatment. Adopters pay $50 of the treatment cost, and the remainder (which can be $1000 or more per dog) is covered by Adopt My Heart. We rely 100% on public donations to fund these treatments and greatly appreciate your support!
